If DLP projectors are your thing, Toshiba’s got you covered with two new devices. The TDP-EW25 gets you a WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, 2600 lumen, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio image, while the TDP-EX20 gets you all the same specs, albeit with a reduced resolution XGA (1024 x 768), and 2300 lumen picture. The TDP-EW25 claims a 1.2 meter throw distance (according to Toshiba, an industry first, which ain’t quite right), while the TDP-EX20 1.5m throw. Both projectors also supposedly support networked projection, but we don’t have confirmation on that, besides the translated mention of Vista and Ethernet. The TDP-EW25 goes on sale in Japan on October 25th for ¥449,400 (about $3,900 US), while its less powerful brother the TDP-EX20 will retail for ¥386,400 (about $3,400 US) when it goes on sale September 20th.

Office Depot Featured Gadget: Xbox 360 Platinum System Packs the power to bring games to life!

Not a ton of new specs to behold on this new Blu-ray player, but Philips’s BDP7100 does everything it should (1080p output, HDMI CEC, 24p, True HD, and DTS HD support). No word if it’s got HDMI v1.3 or Blu-ray 1.1, and Philips also neglected to mention the price and availability of this new Blu-ray player of theirs, but we still dutifully thank them for their morsels of information and sheepishly ask for a second helping of porridge, kind sirs. One more image after the break.

The goods from Philips just keep on comin’, but it’s not like we’re kvetching or anything. On deck is the WAC3500D, the firm’s latest Streamium home stereo, which weds an 80GB internal hard drive, iPod connectivity, and a USB port to create a fairly well appointed audio center. Additionally, the device touts the ability to “receive, play, and store MP3 or WMA tracks saved on a PC,” rip CDs to the HDD in a variety of bitrates, and view ID3 tags on the backlit LCD. All music kept on the system can be wirelessly streamed “to up to five WiFi stations located anywhere in the house,” and the built-in Class D digital amplifier drives the dual two-ways speakers. Currently, the WAC3500D is available in Europe for around £260 ($522).

Daewoo DBP-1000 Blu-ray Disc player
Straight from IFA 2007 in Berlin comes Daewoo’s surprise entry into the Blu-ray camp with the company’s first player, the DBP-1000. Interestingly, even though Daewoo is probably more well-known for their Trutech ODM devices — or even their autos — this player supposedly supports the full 2.0 Profile for Blu-ray Disc, including BD Live internet functionality, picture-in-picture, and local storage. Pricing and availability are nowhere to be found, but it won’t be soon enough for Blu-ray fans to see players with that interactive functionality built-in like competing HD DVD players have. Another picture after the jump.

Apparently looking to show off the dexterity of its “Airic’s_arm,” automation firm Festo recently put together a slick promotional video that appears to show the robot arm writing “HELLO” on a touchscreen monitor. It seems that the arm may have had ideas of its own, however, as the writing appears to spell out “HELP” as much as it does “HELLO.” Exactly what sort of distress the arm had to endure to cause it to issue this potentially non-existent plea, we’re not sure. but we’d recommend that the folks at Festo not turn their back on the thing unless they want some robot arms of their own. Hit up the read link below for the complete video.

[Thanks, Chad]

Personally, we’ve no qualms with simply tweaking the EQ when the bass seems a bit light or the treble is making us cringe, but Sleek Audio’s SA6 earphones purportedly don’t need any fancy equalization to tune your tunes. Reportedly, these in-ear monitors utilize an “ultra wide band balanced armature driver with custom porting,” which apparently allows the user to adjust the sound with the included treble / bass tuning ports. Additionally, the firm throws in a variety of tips and enables wearers to rock them “in three different ways.” The SA6 is currently available for pre-ordering, and while these aren’t slated to ship until Q3, you can save $20 off the normal $249.99 price tag by slipping your order in now.

China’s Wistar has tossed yet another entry into the flood of PMPs coming out of the country these days, with its new A1 model seemingly doing little to distinguish itself but packing some decent specs all the same. This one keeps things fairly small with a 3-inch, 16:9 display, along with support for MP3, WMA and WAV audio and Xvid video at 320 x 240 and 20fps (DRM9, too). Otherwise, you’ll get the usual FM radio and SD card slot, as well as a built-in speaker and microphone, which we presume also means a voice recording feature. No word on what it’ll cost, but you (or your company looking to rebrand them) will apparently be able to pick one up in your choice of 1GB, 2GB, or 4GB varieties.

The almighty “i” prefix has somehow bled all the way over to the car audio realm, as Rainbow Audio has now glossed up a couple of amps and thrown ‘em in the iPaul lineup. The iPaul 4.300 can put out 4 x 90-watts when ran at 4-ohms or 2 x 270-watts when bridged to two-channels, while the less powerful iPaul 2.400 outputs 2 x 130-watts at 4-ohms and takes up quite a bit less space. Both units sport a black / silver motif, obvious Apple influence, and of course, several levels of bass boost to keep the junk in the trunk appropriately jacked. Both amplifiers look to be available as we speak, and while the little fellow will run you £249.99 ($496), the 4.300 rings up at £299.99 ($596).
